Why ADHD Coaching Is In Demand Right Now
Let’s face it—ADHD is finally receiving the attention it deserves. From classrooms to boardrooms, more people are recognizing how ADHD manifests and how transformative it can be to have the right kind of support. That’s where ADHD Life Coaches come in.
As a coach, you don’t fix, diagnose, or give advice. You help people uncover how they work best—so they can stop spinning their wheels and start building momentum.
Whether you’re a parent, educator, therapist, or just someone who “gets it,” ADHD coaching might be the calling you didn’t know you were looking for.
Step 1: Understand What ADHD Life Coaching Is
ADHD Life Coaching isn’t about telling people what to do—it’s about partnering with them to explore how they approach tasks. You ask impactful questions, foster awareness, and offer the structure and accountability they need to progress.
The iACTcenter specializes in this. Our curriculum is specifically designed for ADHD minds (yes, including yours!) so you can coach with the brain, not against it.

Step 2: Choose the Right ADHD Coach Training Program
There are plenty of coaching programs out there, but most fall into two categories:
- ADHD-focused but not accredited
- Accredited but not ADHD-specific
At the iACTcenter, we combine both ICF-accredited ADHD Life Coach training with a strong foundation in executive function, brain-based strategies, and hands-on, practical, good old-fashioned practice. That means you graduate ready to coach and meet the requirements for professional certification.
We offer various training paths depending on where you’re starting from, including our trademark Certified ADHD Life Coach (CALC), Professional-Certified ADHD Life Coach (P-CALC), and the Advanced-Certified ADHD Life Coach (A-CALC).

Step 3: Practice ADHD Coaching Skills in Real Life
Reading about coaching is one thing. Practicing it? That’s where the transformation happens.
Our live, virtual classes are interactive, supportive, and provide plenty of opportunities to practice with your peers and real people. You’ll work alongside mentors and a cohort who understand the ADHD experience—and who are just as passionate about helping others struggling with ADHD and want to make a difference.
By the time you graduate, you won’t just understand coaching… you’ll be a coach.
Step 4: Earn Your ICF Credential (If That’s Your Path)
While you don’t need to be ICF-certified to coach, having that credential adds significant credibility and opens professional doors. At the iACTcenter, we incorporate mentor coaching, ICF-required training hours, guidance on accruing the necessary coaching hours, and the final coaching performance review. So, when you’re ready to apply for your ACC or PCC, you’ll have everything in place.
And yes, we support you throughout the entire application process. Because we know ADHD brains do better with structure and support (we do too). We want you to succeed!
Step 5: Launch and Grow Your ADHD Coaching Practice
One of the best things about ADHD Life Coaching? It’s a career that provides flexibility. You can shape it around your life. Our graduates coach full-time, part-time, or as an addition to their therapy, teaching, or consulting work.
At iACTcenter, we go way beyond training you to provide value and benefit to your clients. We help you:
- Find your coaching niche
- Create a clear marketing message (that’s not salesy) and help you determine and feel comfortable with ‘how much to charge.’
- Start working with paying clients before you even graduate
We know that coaching is more than just a profession—it’s a movement. A movement to change the awareness and conversations about ADHD. And you could be a part of it.
