Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions

Is the iACTcenter an ICF-accredited ADHD Coach Training program?

Yes. The iACTcenter is an ICF-accredited Level 1 and Level 2 coach training provider and the only accredited ADHD coach education and training program that graduates Certified ADHD Life Coaches (CALC). This means all of our programs meet the International Coaching Federation’s rigorous global standards, guidelines, and ethics for coach education and professional coach training. When you graduate from the iACTcenter, you are well on your way to applying for your ICF credential (ACC or PCC), depending on the program path you choose, and you will have built the foundation for a sustainable coaching business.

What makes the iACTcenter different from other ADHD Coach Training programs?

The iACTcenter combines comprehensive ADHD-specific education, ICF-aligned coaching skill development, and a neurodivergent-affirming, ethical coaching model. We focus on teaching you the underlying reasons behind the ADHD experience and how to develop professional coaching skills so you can make a difference and deliver tremendous value to your clients.

Who is not a good fit for iACTcenter training?

If you’re looking for a quick, advice-driven, prescriptive training—or a program that doesn’t uphold the highest professional coaching standards—the iACTcenter is likely not the right fit. Our training emphasizes reflective practice, ethical coaching standards, and true skill mastery rather than shortcuts.

What is the difference between being “certified” and being ICF “credentialed”?

Certification is provided by a training organization (such as the iACTcenter) upon successful completion of its program. Being certified means you have met that program’s requirements for graduation. However, certification alone doesn’t guarantee you received quality training or that you meet global coaching standards unless the training program is accredited by the largest regulatory body for coaches, the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

A coaching credential (ACC, PCC, or MCC) is awarded by the International Coaching Federation after a coach meets specific requirements for education, coaching practice hours, mentor coaching, and demonstrated coaching skills.

The iACTcenter programs are designed to support you in achieving both your certification and your ICF credential.

Do I need an additional or extra ADHD specialty credential to be a “fully credentialed” ADHD Coach?

No. The ICF is the only globally recognized credentialing body for coaches, including ADHD coaches. While some organizations offer specialty “credentials,” they are not required by the ICF and are not universally recognized within the ADHD coaching community. The iACTcenter training aligns with ICF standards and does not require extra specialty credentials that cost you time, energy, and money.

If you get trained right the first time, you won’t need an extra credential later!

What is the time commitment to complete the training?

All training programs offered at iACTcenter, with the exception of the Professional-Certified ADHD Life Coach (P-CALC) program, are designed to be completed within one year from the start date. Participants in the P-CALC program have eight months to finish their training.

The time commitment varies by student, depending on factors such as learning style, prior knowledge, available study time, and the required coach-specific training hours. For example, the Certified ADHD Life Coach (CALC) training program includes 124 coach-specific training hours, which translates to approximately 10.5 hours per month, or about 2.5 hours per week if spread evenly over a year.

And, you will be on this journey with other like-minded learners. Many of our past students recommend dedicating an additional 1–2 hours per week to reading handouts and exploring supplemental resources related to ADHD, coaching, or entrepreneurship. These materials are available throughout your training to enrich your learning experience.

Can I miss a class or attend from another time zone?

Yes. We understand life happens. All programs include access to recordings and multiple opportunities to stay engaged. Students from many countries and time zones successfully complete our programs, enabling them to bring coaching back to their communities.

What happens after I complete the training?

After completing graduation requirements, you receive your program certificate and guidance on next steps, including ICF credentialing pathways, continued professional development, and alumni opportunities.

When I register, how do I access the training and materials?

After registration, you’ll receive step-by-step onboarding instructions, access to the learning platform, and clear guidance on how to prepare for your first class.

Does iACTcenter training count toward ICF credentialing hours?

Yes! The iACTcenter is proud to be an ICF Level 1 and Level 2 Accredited Coach Training Provider. This means our training fully meets the education and mentoring requirements for both the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) and PCC (Professional Certified Coach) pathways. We include everything you need to apply with confidence.

Who is a good fit for the iACTcenter ADHD Coach Training programs?

Our programs are an excellent fit for people who want to coach ethically, believe in their clients’ innate brilliance, and aspire to meet the highest coaching standards set by the International Coach Federation. Many of our students come from backgrounds in education, healthcare, therapy, HR, or lived ADHD experience, and seek solid, meaningful, professional-level coach training rather than a quick certification.

What ADHD Coach Training programs does the iACTcenter offer, and how do I choose the right one?

We offer multiple certification training paths, including the iACTcenter Associate Coach (iAC), Certified ADHD Life Coach (CALC), Advanced-Certified ADHD Life Coach (A-CALC), and Professional-Certified ADHD Life Coach (P-CALC). Each path aligns with different experience levels, goals, and ICF (International Coaching Federation) credential intentions. How does iACTcenter training align with ICF Level 1 and Level 2 accreditation?

Our Level 1 and Level 2 accredited programs meet the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) highest standards for coach education and for teaching advanced coaching skills. Our Level 1 program, the Certified ADHD Life Coach (CALC), aligns with the ICF’s Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential pathway. Our Level 2 programs, the Advanced-Certified ADHD Life Coach (A-CALC) and Professional-Certified ADHD Life Coach (P-CALC), align with the ICF’s advanced Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential pathway.

Are there any hidden fees or additional costs beyond tuition?

We believe transparency, integrity, and trust should be part of your learning experience from the very beginning and throughout your training.

At the iACTcenter, there are no hidden fees. Your tuition is intentionally structured to include everything you need to complete your training and graduate successfully—on time. That means no surprise charges, no last-minute add-ons, and no unexpected expenses popping up halfway through your program.

Your tuition includes:

– All required training materials

– All live classes, workshops, and Coaching Labs

– Access to our Global Library of downloadable resources and class recordings

– 6 hours of group mentoring, depending on your chosen training path—a significant benefit that many ICF-accredited programs charge extra for

To participate in our online ADHD Life Coach training, you’ll need:

– A computer, tablet, or smartphone

– Reliable internet (Wi-Fi) access

– This program requires participants to separately contract for 4 sessions of one-on-one mentor coaching with an iACTcenter-approved ICF Mentor Coach Specialist. *P-CALC program requires participants to contract for 10 sessions of one-on-one mentor coaching.

Some students enjoy printing handouts or organizing materials in binders for offline reference. If that’s your preference, you may want a couple of 3-inch binders and paper for printing, though many students choose to work entirely digitally. Any personal internet, phone, or printing costs are the student’s responsibility.

Throughout your training, you’ll have access to a wealth of learning resources. We intentionally use many high-quality, freely available references, and our Global Library provides deeper learning tools at no additional cost. Occasionally, we may recommend a book you can purchase if it supports your learning style—but these are optional, not required.

Our goal is to ensure your focus stays where it belongs: on learning, practicing, and becoming a confident, well-prepared ADHD Life Coach—not on worrying about unexpected expenses.

What is the schedule, time commitment, and overall pacing of the training?

Training is delivered live online with a predictable schedule. Time commitment varies by program level, but is designed to be realistic for working professionals. We emphasize sustainable pacing, integration, and skill development rather than intensity for its own sake.

Will I need to find all my own coaching clients to graduate?

Yes and no. You’ll gain coaching experience through both individual client work and structured practice opportunities during your coach training. And while you’re building your skills, we’ll be right beside you—helping you grow in confidence and experience so you can begin enrolling your own clients even before you graduate!

What is the withdrawal and refund policy?

Refund eligibility depends on when the written notice is received and whether the training materials are returned. We provide a clear, written policy so expectations are transparent before enrollment.

Can international students enroll in iACTcenter training programs?

Yes. The iACTcenter specializes in training students worldwide through live online training and globally recognized ICF-aligned education.
