Do I need to take the whole program?
Yes. Completing the whole program will be required to graduate with the training hours, mentoring, and advanced knowledge of an iAC Coach from the iACTCenter.
Is there a way to fast-track through the program?
Unfortunately, no. This program is designed to provide long-lasting learning and skill development, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to provide the highest level of support for neurodiverse cl persons. This cannot be achieved in a shorter time frame.
I know a lot about ADHD from my current career and personal interest in ADHD. Do I need to take the Foundations of ADHD Course?
Many of our students have had previous education or experience learning about ADHD. However, we want to make sure you benefit from the additional information and expertise you will learn about ADHD and ADHD Life Coaching in the Foundations course. With a strong understanding of ADHD, we look forward to you sharing this in your courses as you learn about others’ experiences.
What if I start in the iAC program and decide that I want to upgrade to another program that includes business building and is a path to International Coaching Federation credentialing?
Many of our students have had previous education or experience learning about ADHD. However, we want to make sure you benefit from the additional information and expertise you will learn about ADHD and ADHD Life Coaching in the Foundations course. With a strong understanding of ADHD, we look forward to you sharing this in your courses as you learn about others’ experiences.
Does the iACTcenter provide coaching clients during my training?
We understand that finding clients to practice your emerging coaching skills and complete the required number of practice hours for your credential can be challenging. It takes time to gain the confidence to become visible, connect with potential clients, and develop the skill to enroll them into your coaching practice.
This is why part of our business training specifically teaches you the valuable skill of enrolling clients using our proprietary iACTcenter method. We know that this proven, step-by-step process will empower you to keep your coaching business thriving for years to come.
In addition to teaching you how to enroll new clients, our training includes several additional opportunities to accrue the required coach–client practice hours to graduate, whether paid, bartered, or pro bono.
You can gain experience and build coaching hours in several ways: by practicing with fellow students outside of class one-on-one, or by coordinating an independent “Coaching Circle” with peers. We also encourage you to reach out to family and friends to broaden your coaching experience in a comfortable environment. Finally, as a result of the business-building courses, we encourage you to let others know you are studying to be an ADHD Life Coach. Opening this conversation is sure to pique the interest of people who would like to experience coaching in their everyday lives.
How long is the program?
The iAC training program is one year.
Will I gain resources for coaching persons with ADHD?
Absolutely! At the iACTcenter, we believe in paying it forward with the mission of decreasing the stigma, increasing awareness, and empowering people with ADHD! We also don’t believe in re-creating the wheel and are eager to share our resources with our students, who can use these tools, templates, workbooks, strategies, etc., in their personal and professional roles.
If I decide I want to upgrade to another training path, when would I need to do this?
If you decide you want to upgrade to the Certified ADHD Life Coach (CALC) training program (which we would recommend) after you start the iAC program, you would want to do that within the first two months of your training.
Does the iAC program include any business training or courses?
No. However, you are welcome to register for any live courses during your training or purchase access to past courses. You can find out more about the iACTCenter Business Training Course Here.
What if I start in the iAC program and decide that I want to upgrade to another program that includes business building and is a path to International Coaching Federation credentialing?
